Whitehills Stone Circle and Green Hill Walk

After leaving the car park the road gently rises through open woodland and gives good views over agricultural land. It passes Whitehills prehistoric stone circle, then after a fairly level stretch the walk leaves the main track and rises more steeply along a narrower route. This starts in woodland but opens out onto moorland, with good views over to Alford in the west. When it reaches the top of Green Hill the views become a 360-degree panorama over much of Donside. The descent continues round Green Hill until it reaches larger tracks which lead back to the start.
