Kirmond le Mire and Tealby Walk

WalkExplorer

Nestling in the western lee of the Lincolnshire Wolds, you will find Tealby. Stone cottages sit astride the tumbling upper reaches of the River Rase, in this village which many will tell you is the prettiest in Lincolnshire and few would argue. Certainly none would be surprised at its status as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This walk visits Tealby at roughly the halfway stage, having come across the Lincolnshire Wolds from the small Hamlet of Kirmond le Mire to pick up the Viking Way. Our route follows the Way into Tealby from the bottom of the hill, thus giving the best view of the village stretching from the river at the bottom, all the way up to the church at the top.

You'll want to explore Tealby further, given its tea shop, two excellent pubs (including the thatched King's Head, the oldest pub in Lincolnshire), fine church and many colourful gardens. When you have, the route back will take in more Wolds scenery.
