Barton Waterside - Barrow Haven - Barton-upon-Humber Walk

The awe-inspiring Humber Bridge provides a backdrop to the start of this walk, as we enter the new Barton Waterside Park area. We then stay on the banks of the River Humber, with views over the estuary to Hull and the Yorkshire Wolds.

We leave the Humber Bank at the pretty little hamlet of Barrow Haven. Here, after a stretch along a quiet country lane, a farm track takes us to the historic market town of Barton-upon-Humber, with its two churches. After walking through the town's main shopping street, we return via Barton Ropery - well worth stopping off to visit.

This is a good route for dog-walkers, with no stiles and only one area where livestock may be present.
