Little Eccleston - St Michael's - Little Eccleston Walk

WalkExplorer

The walk follows the flood embankment of the River Wyre, providing extensive views to the Forest of Bowland and then through farmland to the village of St Michael's on Wyre with its 15th Century church. A number of bird species can normally be seen. Refreshments can be obtained in the village at the Grapes Public House. The return starts on the opposite bank of the River Wyre and then wends its way through open farmland before rejoining the original footpath along the banks of the River Wyre, back to the Cartford Hotel.

Some of the paths across the fields may be muddy after rain.
