Bosherston Lily Ponds - Stackpole Head - Bosherston Walk

The man-made lily ponds at Bosherston are one of the well-kept secrets of Pembrokeshire. A haven for otters and wildfowl, the crystal-clear waters are home to an abundance of fish and waterlilies. This walk passes through the pond area but leaves other parts for the walker to investigate at leisure. Joining the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path national trail, the route circumnavigates Stackpole Head, with fine views of the limestone cliff formations with their numerous and varied seabird colonies, before reaching the lovely beach at Barafundle Bay. Stackpole Quay is visited next, where refreshments can be bought at the tea rooms and the old quayside may be explored. A permissive path takes the walker back to Bosherston Ponds to enjoy more of their delights before returning to the car park and its adjacent picnic area.
